Discover How Old You Really Are
Your driver's license tells you your chronological age. Your DNA tells you your biological age — and how fast you're aging right now. TruAge™ epigenetic testing, interpreted by Dr. Paul Kilgore, reveals the difference and shows you what to do about it.
See Testing Options →Why Your Biological Age Matters More Than Your Birthday
You almost certainly know someone who is 55 and looks 40. And someone who is 40 and looks 55. The difference isn't luck — it's biology. Two people born on the same day can have biological ages that differ by a decade or more, and that gap predicts almost everything that matters: cardiovascular risk, cancer risk, cognitive decline, mobility, and lifespan itself.
For most of medical history, we had no way to measure this. Then a series of breakthroughs from researchers at Harvard, Yale, and Duke changed that. Scientists discovered that the patterns of methylation on your DNA — small chemical tags that turn genes on and off — change in predictable ways as your body ages. By measuring these patterns at over a million sites across your genome, we can now calculate your true biological age with extraordinary precision.
This is what TruAge testing does. It is the most validated, peer-reviewed epigenetic age test available, and it is the same test I use to track aging in my own patients.
What Your Results Will Tell You
Your Biological Age
How old your cells are right now — which may be years older or younger than your birth certificate says.
Your Pace of Aging
How fast you are currently aging, measured by DunedinPACE — the gold-standard speed-of-aging metric developed at Duke.
Your Organ-Specific Ages
Eleven separate ages for your heart, brain, liver, kidneys, lungs, immune system, and more — using Yale's SYMPHONYAge™ algorithms.
What's Driving It
OMICmAge™ — developed with Harvard — identifies which biological systems are accelerating your aging, so we know exactly what to address.
Three Tests. One Question: Which One Is Right For You?
TruDiagnostic offers three distinct tests. Most patients start with TruAge COMPLETE for a comprehensive baseline, then add TruAge PACE for affordable retesting and TruHealth if they want a deeper look at nutritional and metabolic status.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is epigenetic age testing legitimate science, or is it hype?
It is legitimate, peer-reviewed science. The methylation clocks used in TruAge testing have been validated in over 15 published studies, developed in partnership with researchers at Harvard, Yale, and Duke. DunedinPACE in particular has been shown to predict mortality, cardiovascular events, and cognitive decline more accurately than chronological age alone. This is the most rigorously studied biological aging assessment available to consumers.
Do I need a prescription or doctor's order?
No. TruAge testing does not require a physician order or insurance authorization. The test ships directly to your home, and you collect the sample yourself with a simple finger prick.
How is this different from a 23andMe or Ancestry DNA test?
23andMe and Ancestry analyze your fixed DNA sequence — what you inherited from your parents. TruAge analyzes your epigenome — the chemical tags layered on top of your DNA that change throughout your life based on diet, sleep, exercise, stress, and environmental exposures. Your DNA sequence doesn't change. Your epigenome does, which is exactly what makes it actionable.
Why do I need an interpretation session — can't I just read the report?
You can, and the report is well-designed. But epigenetic age results are only valuable if they translate into specific changes in how you eat, move, sleep, supplement, and manage stress. After 36 years of clinical practice, my job in the Interpretation Session is to look at your results in the full context of your medical history, current medications, lab work, and goals — and build a personalized plan that no automated report can produce.
How often should I retest?
For most patients, every 4–6 months is the sweet spot. That's enough time for lifestyle changes to register in the methylation patterns, but frequent enough to course-correct if something isn't working. The Longevity Tracking Plan is built around this exact cadence.
Is my data private?
Yes. TruDiagnostic operates a CLIA-certified, HIPAA-compliant laboratory in Lexington, Kentucky. Your sample is processed in their private facility — no third-party labs, no data sold to insurance companies or marketers. Quantitative Health, LLC follows the same HIPAA standards in handling your results.
What if my results are alarming?
This is exactly why I include the Interpretation Session. Some patients discover their biological age is older than expected — which is unsettling without context. My role is to help you understand what the numbers mean, what they don't mean, and what specific, evidence-based actions can shift them in the right direction. No patient should ever receive a result like this without a physician walking them through it.
