Core iron markers are required. Adding CBC values (hemoglobin, MCV) significantly improves the analysis by enabling anemia classification.
🩸 Core Iron Markers
These are the primary markers from an "Iron Panel" or "Iron Studies" blood test.
Typical: 60–170 µg/dL
Typical: 250–370 µg/dL
Typical: 12–300 ng/mL (varies by sex)
Typical: 20–50%
🔬 CBC Values optional but recommended
Adding hemoglobin, hematocrit, and MCV allows the tool to determine if anemia is present and classify it (microcytic vs. normocytic vs. macrocytic).
♂ 13.5–17.5 | ♀ 12.0–16.0 g/dL
♂ 38.3–48.6% | ♀ 35.5–44.9%
Typical: 80–100 fL
Typical: 11.5–14.5%
Typical: 0.5–2.5%
